Day Trip: Otavalo & Cuicocha
We took a wonderful day trip to Laguna Cuicocha and Otavalo, with some great stops throughout the day. Here are some photos!

Laguna Cuicocha
The islands for which the lake is named - “cui” means guinea pig and “cocha” means lake in Kichwa, the most prominent native language spoken in Ecuador. The people thought the island with two bumps looked like Guinea pigs, hence the name.
